Birthdays Happen
“Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday Dear Levi, Happy Birthday to you” The whole family singing for a celebration “ohh It’s my birthday today” I remembered with surprise. I’m twelve years old and almost a teenager. Isn’t that awesome???? I think it is. Twelve is a big number if you ask me. “Hurry up Levi and get dressed nicely because you are going out” Going out with my granddad and grandmother to Pukarua Plaza and went to different malls for things like clothes, toys, and my best bit is the food. I got myself a control jeep from the warfare (warehouse). Eating food like sweet and sour pork, noodles, egg foo yong.On the way back to the car I felt that I had been spoiled like always.

Future Aspiration.
Future, Future, Future I wonder what I will be in the future? Am I going to be an All Black to score tries or maybe a firemen to help people? I know a Rock Star!!! Nahh. What do you think you want to be but before you know it you should dream it. Dream and dream big, when you may never know that it might come true.
All these questions where going through my mind while I was listening to the Future Aspiration speakers who came to Point England on Thursday. There were five speakers on that day and they all had good futures and they also dreamed big dreams and carried on with their future ahead.
Mosa was a very young man who followed his dream and he gave out coins to who ever got the question right. He told us that his life was not good and he two bedrooms but 12 people in the house. He had to work hard and still dreamed his dream and it came true. His message was you follow your dream but catch it.

Waka Ama Story
Waka Ama
Feeling the wind so strong that it made me realise the challenge that seagulls face every day. It made me feel that I was apart of this bite of the sea. It was a challenge to get the Waka out to the sea. Do you know how it felt to carry the Waka to the sea? and how it feels like to be in one? It is very heavy to take to the sea at this weight, and it is hard to paddle but very cool to be in one. Do you know how much a Waka weighs? I don’t know because it has no information.
Wondering what place we might come so I look ahead and see that only one Waka is in front on us so we must be coming second and that is a good place for our first time doing Waka ama in a race. Do you know that at the start we were coming last and then we pulled our heads together and that is how we came second. My team was called “Ngati Tu Choice” Do you think that it is a great name?
I would just like to say a big thank you to Tamaki Outrigger, Aaron(Couch), Shannon(Manager), and to the Team for their effort, Team(Anthony, Frankie, Isara, Auri, Uili and Me Levi).

Where I'm From Poem
Where i’m from I see the waves bump up and down like hills
Dipping my feet in the sea I’m looking out for boats
I reach back in for shore and see birds fighting over scraps
All I hear is giant waves crashing into the sand
I smell smoky barbecue coming towards my face
Where i’m from i can see my mum making a lot of noise in the kitchen
I see my mum cooking us dinner in the kitchen
I see u my mum making us nachos for dinner
I see people enjoying themselves eating MC Ds
I see some boys on the playground eating some chip
Where I’m from I hear the crowd like they are cheering for WILL.I.AM has entred the school.
I hear my brothers playing on the trampling like they are Michael jordan doing a slam dunk.
I hear the birds like they are singing a song
I hear people saying happy birthday like they are the crowd cheering the all blacks
Where I’m from I am taste is my middle name
I taste the salty sea water in my mouth like i have never had water for three years
I taste the salt of the hot chips that tangles off my tongue
I taste the sauce that it dribbles down me that came off my hot dog

Michael Jackson is the king of pop in those days. He is still a popular man for his music and his dancing and he is the man. He is one of my favourite pop star. He used to be brown but he turned white and he looked different. My Movie was about Michael Jackson but in a drawing. the crayon that I had to use was a green one and it was a difficult.

Springbok Hamilton Games
Entering the stadium and hearing “1,2,3,4 we don't want racist tour”, “1,2,3,4 we don't want racist tour” was making me feel a bit nervous . When I was on the field Protesting I saw cans and bottles coming towards my way so I tried to dodge it. After a few minutes I asked my mum “why are they throwing cans at us?” and she replied in a light voice “well if we were here earlier you would know. Well one of the protesters said to the crowds of fans the game was cancelled so they started to be ANGRY”. And the fans were saying violent staff while the players were waiting in the locker room stretching and getting ready for the game.
Looking at the angry crowd they had posters with swear words . So we quickly got told to put on our gear. I was wearing a Police helmet and with it I had a bat I was scared to use it but I used it as a cricket bat to hit the cans away. After ten or twenty cans I hit I saw Police officers and security guards in the crowd shooting and arresting people. I felt very sad because the police broke up families and it was like New Zealand was divided and the New Zealanders and the South Africans we not united for a very long time.
After seeing some blood on the grass and on the floor it was time to go home but none of the rugby Fans left so we got told to hit them to make them leave so I was feeling a bit sad and a bit happy at the same time. So as soon as we got home I went to sleep and it was over and done with.
